What is the difference between General Training and Academic IELTS?
- The Listening and Speaking tests are exactly the same for both.
- The Reading tests are slightly different because the reading texts are different.
- The Academic test has academic texts from text books, journals etc.
- The General Training test has texts from every day life and the world of work.
- Task 2 Writing is the same for both Academic and General Training.
The biggest difference is Task 1 Writing and this is where students make the most mistakes.
