I have a question about the use of proper tenses, I understand that we are comparing the ‘before’ and ‘after’ of the island in question. Will I be correct to re-write the third paragraph of the sample answer as:

“The most noticeable additions are the hotel rooms. 6 buildings, surrounding some trees, were built on the west of the island, and 9 buildings were also constructed at the centre of the island. A reception building and a restaurant were also developed between the two accommodation areas.”

Since the ‘after’ version of the map is showing the development that has occurred, will it be right to use past tense?
